NOTD: OPI – Break for Manicures

Today’s NOTD is Break for Manicures by OPI, a dark plum shade. It is so dark that is almost black. I’m a sucker for those kinds of shades, because plain blacks do not look good on my nails and these are great alternatives.

Sephora by OPI -- Glimmer Wonderland Eighteen Piece Mini Nail Colour Set : Review & Swatch

I always like to buy mini nail polishes and this seems to be a good set with various shades. I’ve not tried any color on my nails so far, but I love all of them and I can not wait to paint my nails with them.

I just got my packages from Sephora. This is only a haul post, and I have not tried anything yet. Of course I will review products later when I get more uses out of them.

NOTD: Essie – Chinchilly

Today’s NOTD is Chinchilly by Essie, a neutral medium grey color.

It applies smoothly and is opaque in two coats. Even though the texture is great, I just don’t find myself wearing it that much.

Project 10 Pan

I went crazy over sephora’s FF sale, so I decided to do another project pan only on makeup items. Let me put some disclaimers out there first.

1. There will be a Sephora haul coming up. I placed the order on Oct. 20.

2. I might get some gifts around my birthday which I don’t consider as cheating.  

All the products are kept in the birchbox container, so I can remember to use them on a daily base. Moreover, if I finish some makeup items which are not in the list, I will still count them towards my project since makeups are really difficult to go through.

Stila Ultimate Color Palette

Look what I got today!!! I came across this humongous palette at amazing price($19.99) at Costco.

Just give you an idea how big it is. It is like triple the size of the naked palette.

Update on Project X Pan

This project ended when I made a huge order on Sephora.com yesterday. I’ve finished 3 products, but nothing interesting. Anyhow, I did enjoy doing project pans, especially when I finished something completely. Here are the products I used up during this period.

I love Neutrogena’s makeup wipes quite a lot. They are quite efficient to take off waterproof eye makeups. As to the toner, I’m not into it at all. This is the alcohol free version which supposedly works for sensitive skins. First of all, the texture is rather thick which I hate. Secondly, it is not really moisturizing in my experience.  I’m just so happy that it’s gone.

I will do a new project pan only on makeup items pretty soon. The main reason is that I kind of went crazy of sephora’s FF sale. Besides, I’m actually quite satisfied with my current makeup collection and there is really no need to expand it more.

NOTD: China Glaze – CG in the City

I’ve been on a total kick with glitter nail polishes recently, and one of my favorites is CG in the City by China Glaze.

It has a clear jelly base with purple, silver and red glitter. It is just beautiful! The only complain I have is that it takes at least 3 coats to get opacity. Another way I'm thinking to wear it is to apply it on top of some dark purple nail polishes, so the color payoff will be better.

1. Jouer | Lip Enhancer

I’m kind of disappointed in this product, not because that it is bad, but because that I have high hopes for it. It is moisturizing, but not as much as I expected it to be. Moreover, I didn’t see any pumping effects at all. I don’t see myself repurchasing it, because at $14 I can buy much more product with the same results, if not better.

NOTD: Revlon – Facets of Fuchsia

Today’s NOTD is Revlon’s Facets of Fuchsia which is said to be a dupe for Deborah Lippmann’s Bad Romance.

Korres Quercetin & Oak Concealer: Review & Swatch

I got this concealer in a set from Sephora, and my shade is 02 light, a peachy salmon color. Korres is well known as a natural brand which is the main reason I want to try their products.  

NOTD : Butter - The Full Monty

Today’s post is featuring another nail polish from Butter London, The Full Monty, a gold foil.

As always, the quality is amazing, and at that price ($14) it’d better be. This polish goes on quite opaque, and two coats are plenty for a solid color.

My Wish List (Skincare Version)

Here is my list for skincare. I really want to get hands on these products, but I might not end up buying all.

1. Maintain Balance Kit ($40)

I heard so much about this brand, but never got the chance to try them. Perfect timing! Their packaging is just so neat and cute. 

2. Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion Luxury Size ($38)

This moisturizer is my all-time favorite and I have to stock it up.

My Wish List (Makeup Version)

Sephora is having their FF sale (20% off) from Oct. 20 to Nov.2, 2011, so I think it will be nice to do a post on my wish list. Sephora is my favorite place to shop, because they have so many value sets which are perfect for trying out products.

1.Sephora Standing Bag Brush Set ($25)

I already have one set in white and I love it so much that I want to get another set. All the brushes are of good quality and the contouring brush is my favorite which is quite comparable to MAC 109, in my opinion.

2. SmolderEYES Limited-Edition Amazonian Clay WaterproofLiner Collection ($39) 

This set is out of stock already which indicates its popularity. It is a great steal. The pencils just stay on like a dream. I have experienced no smudging whatsoever. Great quality and beautiful shades!!!
