I’m done with project pan. Yay!!! It has been so long, more
than two months. I was struggling with this project, realizing how difficult to
finish a makeup item. Overall, I think I did a pretty good job.
6. Benefit – Hoola
Can you see the pan there? I know it is tiny, but it took me
forever. I really like the color a lot, which is so far the best bronzer for my
skin tone. It doesn’t turn orange or dirty on my face. However, the quality is
quite disappointing. Firstly, it only lasts on me for around two hours.
Secondly, its price is comparable to NARS bronzers, but it is not as soft and
densely packed as NARS. As much as I love the shade, I don’t think I will
repurchase.
I was using it all the time, as a setting and blotting
powder, and it still took me so long even though I had already hit major pan on
it when I first started. At the very end, the last bit of the pink portion
shattered and I just stopped using it. A little bit goes a long way and you need
be careful with it because overapplying gives a white cast.
8. Maybelline – One by One Mascara
I thought it was the one when I first used it and it really worked
magic for the first month. Then it became extremely difficult to work with. I still
cannot figure out why. I read a post and the blogger had the same
problem, so I will not repurchase it.
9. Buxom – Lip Gloss & Laura Mercier - Mascara
I liked them both. If you haven’t tried Buxom’s lip glosses,
definitely give it a shot. I really like the tingling sensation.
The mascara is really nice, but not enough for me to
repurchase.
10. Maybelline – Concealer & Revlon – Brow Fantasy
The brow pencil is just OK, and I still prefer brow powders
better. However, I am very curious about Shu Ueruma’s brow pencil.
11. Rosebud Salve
It has a pink tint, but it doesn’t show up on lips. I mainly
used it as a lip balm. Sometimes, if some lipstick was too drying, I would put
this beneath and over the lipstick to give more moisture. I still like the pot
form better because I felt like it was more moisturizing.
