Monthly Empties (March 2012)

It's been the most productive month so far. Due to the project 100 pan, I just got really motivated to finish stuff. I decided not to include all the candles and the boring stuff, so here we are.

I love The Body Shop aloe mask which is one of my all-time favorites. It is very hydrating and my skin feels so smooth and soft afterwards. It does not claim to do anything magic, but as far as moisturizing masks go, it is so far the best.
I like the idea of fresh made masks by Lush, but I don’t think the cupcake one did anything to me. Of course, it softened my skin and so does almost every other mask. It smells divine though.
I finally finished my NARS foundation. It was my favorite and even made into my 2012 nice list. After testing a few other foundations, I don’t think I will repurchase the sheer glow. Don’t get me wrong. It is still a very good one, but at that price there are so many other better alternatives which come with a pump.
Originally I didn’t think I would repurchase the fresh sugar lip balm, but I miss it so much when it’s gone. I still believe it is overpriced, but I might purchase it to treat myself once in a while.

Products I will repurchase!!!
The Body Shop – Aloe Mask
Fresh – Sugar Lip Balm
Aveeno - Shampoo
Clinique – Eye Makeup Remover

Project 100 Pan Update #1

It has been almost a month since I started my project 100 pan on Feb 27th. If you haven’t noticed, I’ve already finished 40 products. If you are interested, please check out the sidebar for details. Among them, there are about 25 full size items, 4 candles, 2 wax cubes and the rest are samples. It was very easy at first because I had so many lingering products which had only a little bit left to begin with. Now the torture of project pan really kicks in, but still I believe I can do it.
Here are the things I'm currently working on.

So far I’ve only purchases two beauty items which are necessities to me because I am out of nail polish removers and almost done with the ELF brow gel.

Don't forget to check out my giveaway!

L’oreal – 310 Versailles Romance

Today’s NOTD is Versailles Romance by L’oreal, a peachy color.
natural light, three coats
I heard so many good things about this new, well rather new to me, nail polish line by L’oreal and picked up one a while back. It is a lovely shade, but the consistence is not that good. It takes three coats to get opacity which is kind of a bummer to me. Personally I would prefer those nail polishes with thicker consistence, so I don’t think I will be getting another shade from this line.
How do you like the nail polish?

Shop My Stash #7

I have not done this kind of post for a while only because I am on project pan and reluctant to switch up the products too often. By the way, I’m doing pretty well with my project pan and so far I’ve not purchased anything.
The palette I’m using is the day palette from Lorac Bejeweled box which I ordered through Hautelook before the project pan.

Does the MAC blush from the wonder woman collection look weird to you? I accidentally dropped it and it shattered, so I went ahead and repressed it.

My Perfume Collection

Perfume is definitely one of my weaknesses and I’m always looking for a new one.
I keep all my perfumes in the mirror tray on the top of my dresser and I really love the set up. I found the mirror tray at Marshalls for about 15 dollars.
Just name a few my favorites.
Lovestruck by Vera Wang is my most recent purchase. I was first attracted by the adorable packaging which is always nice to have. It smells floral and very feminine.

I love light blue by Dolce&Gabbana a lot and it is a very nice everyday scent. It smells fruity and fresh to me. It’s definitely not a tropical fruity scent, but very soothing.

The Katy Perry Purr is also my love and the packaging is right up my alley. I find myself constantly sniffing my wrists when I wear it, but if you don't like sweet scent, you might not like it.

NOTD: China Glaze – Re-fresh Mint

Today’s NOTD is re-fresh mint by China Glaze, a light minty green.
two coats, natural light
It looks a little bit streaky with one coat and two coats are enough for complete opacity. I’ve been wearing this polish for the past two manicures which says how much I love it.
Do you love it?

TAG!! are you tagged?

I've been tagged by Clare at C-A-T Make-up and Beauty. I'm always very interested in doing tags and thanks Clare for tagging me.

First I have to answer 11 questions given by Clare and then create 11 questions and tag 11 bloggers, making sure you let them know they have been tagged! They then answer my questions, create their own and tag 11 people to keep the chain going :) So here is the questions I have been asked...

I simply wanted to share my thoughts with all makeup junkies.
 2. What is your favourite Drug Store cosmetic brand?

What’s in My UNII Palette?

I finally depot my Urban Decay book of shadow IV. I was choosing between UNII palette and Z palette and I thought the UNII palette was more durable. I like the fact that the Z palette has a clear cover, but I’d prefer a huge mirror.
The colors I have are lavender and crystal.
I have all the neutral shades in the lavender one and the rest in the other one. I should have placed the neutrals in the crystal to color match, but I love the lavender color so much that I’d rather use it every day.

The palette is already magnetized which means metal pans can stick to it without extra magnet sheet. It is very thoughtful of the company to include a magnet sheet in case that some pans are made of aluminum.
For size reference, I place it together with the NARS Laguna bronzor and the naked palette.

A quick tip! I cut the name from the original palette and tape it to the corresponding eye shadow, so I know exactly what shade I am using if I want to.

Is the UNII palette worth the money?
In my opinion, it is. I spend quite some money on palettes and I really wish to get more uses out of them, but bulky packaging stops me from doing so. Now with the UNII palette I can depot whatever shade I like and use it daily. Besides, I can see myself traveling with the UNII palettes. They are sturdy with hard plastic. On the top of that, they are cute!
